Privacy policy
Effective October 1, 2026. Jobsite is made by Illuminant Inc. This policy covers the Jobsite app, the website and share pages.
What we collect
- Account: your Apple ID's stable identifier, and the name and email Apple shares (you can hide your email). Company name, trade and timezone.
- Jobs and customers: job names, addresses and coordinates, and the customer's name, address and contact details you enter.
- Photos and videos: the files your crew captures or imports, with their EXIF data (time, location, device), plus the stamped copy, thumbnail and any annotation layer.
- Notes and logs: voice-note transcripts (transcribed on the phone), daily log text, report contents.
- Device tokens: for push notifications, if you allow them.
- Usage events: counts like photos captured and reports sent, without personal data or photo content, kept 13 months.
Location
Location is read at the moment of capture to file the photo to a job, and through region monitoring for up to 20 nearby jobs to offer "start this job?" when you arrive. We do not record a location history of people and there is no crew map. You can deny location access; photos then go to your Inbox to be filed by hand.
What we never do
- Alter an original photo.
- Sell, rent, or train machine-learning models on your photos or data.
- Share anything publicly unless you create a link on purpose.
- Send photos to any AI service. The optional daily-log draft uses text only, under zero-retention terms.
Share pages and viewers
When you create a share link, the page shows the viewer your company name, the job, the updates and photos you chose to include, and reports. Viewers who comment give a name and optionally an email; those go to your company. Share pages set no cookies and load no third-party scripts. We count views per link.
People in photos
You are responsible for consent when photographing people or private interiors. The app warns when a photo contains faces and offers a blur tool. See photos of people.
Service providers
- Apple: sign-in, push notifications, weather (WeatherKit), subscriptions. Apple's terms apply to payments.
- Anthropic: the optional AI draft, text only, zero-retention terms.
- Hosting: servers operated by Illuminant Inc. on infrastructure in the United States.
Retention
Set out on the data retention page.
Your choices
- Export your company's data at any time from Settings › Export data.
- Delete a customer's details on request from the app.
- Delete your company: 30-day grace, then everything is removed.
- Turn off the AI draft per company.
- Revoke any share link instantly.
Security
Every request is scoped to one company. Media is served through short-lived signed links. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Backups are encrypted and kept 30 days.
Children
Jobsite is for businesses and not directed at children under 16.
